Open Weight Challenge night began with Radical Ryan versus James Mason. Ryan started the match off strong, drop toehold to a fireman’s carry and nice looking swinging neckbreaker. Mason made his comeback after a suplex reversal sending Ryan to the outside. Mason controls the radical one on the outside for 14 seconds launching several times into the guardrails. The match went back inside and Mason hit a powerbomb for a close near fall. Ryan came back with the speed ducking a lariat attack and hitting a German suplex for a 2 count. Mason went for his Canadian Hammer late in the match but Ryan slid down, took Mason down with a drop toehold and surprised the big man with the Japanese leg roll clutch for the 3 count.

The Junior Weight champion Venom took on the up and coming Rubin Demota next. Rubin matched attack with reversal for the beginning minutes of the match and scored two consecutive submission moves with the Boston crab and giant swing. Venom went with this heel attacks raking the eyes of Rubin to mount a comeback. Rubin unable to get his hands up got drilled with a series of knees from Venom, Venom then snuck around Rubin and scored the 2 count with a dragon suplex. Rubin would mount his comeback after breaking free of a bow and arrow backbreaker and hoisted Venom up for god knows how long with the extreme brainbuster. Venom looked again for away to sneak out a win with the poison fog but Rubin ducked at the last second and scored the Simple & Clean for the pin fall.

Kingpin and Virus went tooth and nail in the next bout, Kingpin matched speed for speed controlling the beginning moments of the match with drop toeholds and cyclone whips. Virus would make his comeback blocking a saming and instantly going for the legs with the low dropkick. The Texas cloverleaf was slapped on but Kingpin wisely made his way to the ropes to break the hold. The match went on and Kingpin and Virus went to the skies, moonsault attack from Virus, Kingpin bounced back and hit a beautiful Kingpin Splash for the 2 count. Kingpin continued with the offence hitting an exploder then a double arm DDT. Virus’ last-ditch effort came after a near fall following a BT Bomb and then looked for the tiger suplex but Kingpin rolled up Virus in the saxon clutch and scored the 3 count.

An old rivalry was renewed as Jay Rudawa took on Ross Cowan in an intense singles match. Jay matches Cowan take down for takedown as both men hit a series of drop toehold and fireman’s carries. Cowan took Jay off his game after a la magistral for a 1 count. Jay was quick to get back up to his feet sending Cowan to the ropes following it up with the ipon-zeoi. Cowan recoverd with a dragon screw reversal on Jay then began the suplex show with the overhead belly-to-belly suplex and a sick looking dangerous suplex. Jay wouldn’t stay down though and had the crowd buzzing after a space man plancha. Jay then managed to lock Cowan in the centre with the guillotine choke; Cowan powered out and hit a sickening exploder 98 on Jay. Jay stumbled back up to his feet and Cowan seen the opportunity and nailed Jay with the Cowan Special earning him the pin fall victory.

Juan Leche and Crimson lock up in one on one competition next, Leche gets out of the gates strong and takes Crimson down with a couple of cyclone whips, Crimson whips Leche into the ropes, Crimson looks for the spine buster but Leche slides under and catches Crimson with the rolling sole butt. Leche looks to continue with his speed but Crimson stops him dead in his tracks with the DDT. Leche is sent to the corner now, Crimson follows up with some knees, Leche stumbles out and Crimson nails him with the flying heel kick. Quick cover by Crimson but Leche kicks out. Leche looks to get back on offence but Crimson reverses a DDT with the lifting takedown, he whips Leche into the ropes and hits a nice looking zero-fighter kick. Another cover by Crimson but Leche kicks out again. Both men back up now, Leche takes Crimson down with the low dropkick, Irish whip to the ropes now and Leche connects with a picture perfect dropkick. Crimson stumbles back to his feet, enzeguri by Leche followed by a rolling prawn hold, Crimson’s shoulder are down and Leche gets a close 2 count! Leche now looks to go from behind, Crimson counters with a groin kick and follows it up with the axe kick combo. High angle Boston crab now locked in on Leche, Leche slowly inches his way to the ropes and breaks the hold. Crimson now hoists him up for the high angle powerbomb, Leche counters into the utlra rana, cover again but Crimson kicks out. The lock up again, Leche fights off a STO and drills Crimson with the fisherman buster! Leche climbs to the top, Leche Splash! Crimson barely escapes at 2.9. Leche now sprints to the apron, flying heel kick coming up, no! Crimson catches him into a spine drop, cover on Leche but he kicks out at the last second. Crimson slams the mat down as Leche gets back up, CRIMSON CUTTER! Cover… 1… 2… 3! It’s over!

Crimson’s victory is short lived as fans erupt at the site of Twinky McLanahan. He slides into the ring with a lead pipe in hand and blasts Crimson across the eyes with the pipe. Twinky begins hammering down at Crimson as the blood begins to flow. Twinky has drawn first blood, official’s rush down to the ring to break up the may lay. Twinky leaves the ring on his own as cameras catch him saying, “too bad it isn’t Sunday.” Fade to commercial.
Cameras fade back to the ring, SPUNK makes his way down for his match against Bak Fu. He gets the obvious boos from the crowd but like everyone else there’s seems to be that little group of fans that believe in SPUNK Road. Bak Fu’s music hits as fans await his entrance, a few moments pass and there are no signs of Fu. Cameras take us backstage as SPUNK looks on at the Cowan Tron. We brake into Fu’s locker room at a shot of Team Violence minus Brian Lee laying the boots to the Destiny Series winner. Security quickly charges in to stop the chaos, cameras fade back to the ring and we see Brian Lee slide in from behind on SPUNK. SPUNK turns around and Lee takes the first swing, both men slug it out with Lee getting the upper hand after a rake of the eyes. Lee looks for the sweep kick, SPUNK dodges, jumping high kick, no! Lee moves out of the way, SPUNK gets back up to his feet and Lee nails him with the double arm DDT. Lee stands over SPUNK yelling at him “it should be MY shot Sunday”. Fans erupt now as X-ANDER makes his way down to the ring. Lee rushes out and meets X half way up the ramp. A slugfest between these two starts now, X catches Lee off guard with the discus punch and slams Lee down with the scoop slam on the unforgiving steel ramp. SPUNK makes his way back up and heads up the ramp with a steel chair in hand, X continues to hammer away on Lee but SPUNK catches him in the small of the back with the chair. X goes down in pain as Lee tries to stand back up, he stumbles towards SPUNK and gets a huge chair shot to the face that echoes the arena. Lee’s knocked out as SPUNK throws away the chair, SPUNK picks X back up to his feet and hoists him up, FUCKING FROSION ON THE RAMP! X was just dropped headfirst! SPUNK looks down at the chaos at the top of the ramp. More security now rushes the stage, SPUNK stands they’re knowing he just one-upped the champ before they’re title match at Turmoil.
